A Dark and Secret Place (or, as it's known in the UK, DOG ROSE DIRT) is out next June, published by the brilliant Crooked Lane Books in the States. And here is the American cover!
It's very exciting to see the book beginning to become a real thing - and I love how haunting and unsettling this cover is. I am especially fond of the way the ivy is curling over the title... Themes of nature, secrets and hidden things are threaded throughout the novel so it all feels very appropriate.
The book has popped up in a couple of places online already which means you can have a read of the blurb at BookHype, or even pre-order if you are a total superstar (that's if you're in the States - hopefully I'll have links for UK and beyond shortly)
